Never go back
I got my wallet pickpocketed on my way to school.
I take two buses, home to bus station and there to school.
I politely asked the conductor if I can stay on the same bus and return home. When he heard by plight, he handed me some money from his collection and told me
"Never go back" ...... So I continued.
It may be kind gesturer. But I felt it as a strong message. Hit me like a jolt.
Ever since, I always make it a point to finish what I start. No matter the circumstances. No matter I fail or succeed.
A right word, at the right moment, is inspirational.
