If the person stealing finds it easy to steal than work hard to earn the bread. Such people really exists.

@ABCDEF7 I don't doubt that they do, but I have to believe they are the minority of people stealing food. I'm not talking about people who steal luxeries.

@IAmJess If everybody is given food security, many people would not want to work. Food security should be there for disabled. But those who are capable of earning their bread should prefer to work instead of stealing. I guess there is always some little work available that can enable you to have food from your earning.

@ABCDEF7 Certainly, anyone who is capable of working, should work. I have no issue with that and no issue with work requirements for government benefits.

But in a modern civilized society, should anyone be left to go hungry without access to sustinence? I'm not talking about free steak and lobster, but basic sustinence. I think most people would want to work to get access to better food, etc, but no one should be hungry.

@IAmJess Definity no one should be hungry if they are willing to work but somehow could not earn the living.
IAmJess · 22-25, F
@ABCDEF7 And those who, for whatever reason, can not earn a living? Does society have an obligation to provide for them?
ABCDEF7 · M
@IAmJess It is good to provide food security in society. But it should be in such a way that should not promote laziness and negligence of one's duties.
IAmJess · 22-25, F
@ABCDEF7 I don't disagree.

@IAmJess What else it needs to agree?
