I agree and very much admire societies that value this concept. I live in the USA and, while there are certainly lots of people who think this way here, I don't believe caring for the most vulnerable of us is valued anymore.

@daddywashere Also American here. I was taught to give to good causes and so I do. NONE of my friends do (found this out last night). Not a single one of them donates to a cause that helps the needy (they donate, but to more political stuff which I stay away from).
