When was the last time you felt good about yourself?

Thursday evening, I was rushing through an airport when my son texts me to ask if we can talk. It turned out he just wanted to share his story of how he’s figuring out how to eat and sleep better in preparation for his weekend football games. It was the fact that he wanted to share his learning with me that absolutely made my day. As a father of a young man, figuring out his way in the world, it was absolutely amazing to know he wanted to share that and be honest with me. That made me feel like a good parent.
