Prophet Mohammed once said :

“O Allah, I am Your slave, and the son of Your male slave, and the son of your female slave. My forehead is in Your Hand (i.e. you have control over me). Your Judgment upon me is assured, and Your Decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every Name that You have named Yourself with, revealed in Your Book, taught any one of Your creation, or kept unto Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen that is with You, to make the Qur'an the spring of my heart, and the light of my chest, the banisher of my sadness, and the reliever of my distress.”

I asked if you believed to come to the knowledge of God is to come to the knowledge of "a" man i.e. self.
Not the knowledge of "man" i.e. human beings.

God's knowledge given to just a single man to understand then to teach to those who are willing to receive teaching.

All knowledge comes from and is of God.

Does the Quran affirm this understanding or is my comprehension of the relationship of God and man askewed?

“ God's knowledge given to just a single man to understand then to teach to those who are willing to receive teaching.
All knowledge comes from and is of God.”

God sent many prophets throughout history to teach humankind the word and teachings of God and the test is wether they accept it or or not.
From Adam to Mohammed.

Why do you call me "Master" if you will not do as I say?

Jesus of Nazareth
@PoeticPlay

The messiah linguistically does not mean a God to be worshipped .
It means to rub on
Like how kings got holy oil or water rubbed on them
Or and it means “to be anointed”
Many people and things in the Bible were anointed.
In literal sense ,
All of the prophets that God sent are messiahs.
But Jesus’s special nickname just happens to be the messiah
just like in Islam Abraham is known by the nickname “the friend of God”
Does that mean the rest of the prophet are the foe of God?
Absolutely not, it’s just a nickname.
Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet not son of god to be worshipped and that people after him corrupted his message and started to worship a Trinity
And that the god of Adam of Noah of Abraham of Moses of Jesus of Abraham etc
Is one and same.

So do you believe that to come to the knowledge of God is to come to the knowledge of a man?

That is enlightening.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and teachings.

“ So do you believe that to come to the knowledge of God is to come to the knowledge of a man?”

I never said such thing.
The Quran is the word of God in Muslim belief not the word of man.

Just like Moses preached the word of God not the word of man
And just like Noah preached the word of God and not the word of man
