One look out the window at the pouring rain, and?? I imagine the raindrops sliding off the massive leaves ..like watercolours, bottle and sap greens, into a wild river tossing and turning, muddy water, through randomly dotted rocks. Looks a bit gloomy at first?,, this choppy water is leading you towards something you thought all along was lashings of rain, instead its the distant airy sounds of a waterfall....with a few signs of life along the way, ...blackbirds chirping, as they dart past into a green fog,..an otter hopping over a few logs at the side of the river...or a solitary grey heron shadowing the trees.
I saw seagulls way up in the sky, like tiny dots..my parents would probably have needed binoculars!.... Just seagulls?.....a bright blue sky in summer...but I was wondering?...Their perspective, miles up there, catching the wind, and looking all the way down on the city, the full scope they would get, better than the small window of an aeroplane...,I also thought about a time I was on a ferry to my favourite Island...but that amount of wind you experience up on deck when out at sea..and thinking of the amount of wind up in the sky that these seagulls are catching, and gliding on, the wind currents taking them higher and higher..and on such a clear day...Imagine being one of them!..I suppose not just a seagull?.. but a bird in general.
I will always see very minor things in a very vivid way....it's a blessing
