People hurt people. It’s usually easy to get over or past. It’s only when you have looked into the mind of someone ugly who intentionally hurt you and did it for their own darknenjoyment or self aggrandizement that causes real damage. Like how could you? Why would you? It would never occur to a normal person to act in such a way
