The lifespan of a phase seems to be about 2 months
There is a cycle of phases to be gone through till the end, no Oedipus complex i swear.
Sometimes phases last longer, but 2 months was about the length of the last 2 phases, the reading phases, and the Asian film phase are the forefront specials in this menu of extraordinary delights.
A need to compartmentalize a little, a futile but fitting reaction to the hurricane of disorder.
The reading phases are
Genre fiction, these are the fun page turners, mostly horror, thriller and mystery, in the horror there is nestled in there the splatterpunk which can reach into adult topics otherwise avoided.
Classics - old but gold stuff
Feminism - as some of you may recall a few months ago this was thee thing for me. It left a huge impression and i just scratched the surface
Philosophy and aesthetics - in this grouping we can have the deep thoughts of Nietzsche, Cioran and Kierkegaard, along with Anais Nin and anything artsy.
