I just can't understand why people are so into watching sports. I believe the history books of the future will look at humans enjoyment of sports

as a surefire sign of how primitive they were. They are just so mind numbingly boring, a complete waste of time and a distraction. And as George Orwell stated, a tool of control, "Football, beer, and above all, gambling filled up the horizon of their minds. To keep them in control was not difficult."

I mean, just think about golf as an example: people will spend thousands of dollars on clubs and thousands of hours practicing merely to be able to hit a ball into a hole in the dirt. Wow. And then people will actually spend money to watch that. It's just insanity to me.

I never understood it either. I've always ignored sports all together. Yet there are thousands of people who pay huge amounts to watch sports. They will even fight and riot over sports. How this is possible I don't know. It's not like they keep in shape or play any sports themselves in most cases. Probably the last time they took athletics seriously was in high school. I've noticed there are tons of dumb thug types into it, jungle law personalities, shallow thinkers. It draws that crowd. That would explain the fights and riots, no frontal lobes on them.
