If you want to become a geoscientist, it's brilliant.

If you want to become an accountant, probably not.

That depends on how competitive you are. It’s one of those degrees where that specific field has a limited number of slots and opportunities. If you’re competitive and a good networker then it may work out for you, otherwise you may find yourself in a completely unrelated job where near any bachelors would suffice.
