Salvation army. Someone else may be able to use the items.

@Jokersswild Salvation Army might also be able to help the person.

she may have stashed it somewhere she felt it would be safe. she may come back for it. It's really hard to say. Maybe clean it up the best you can and put it back, protecting it in some way from the weather?
Im sure she wants/ Neds her things. But who knows ...

@nonsensiclesnail Yea, that's an idea. Another thought is to put a note there saying I have it in case she comes back. At least it is safe here. Hmm.. I may just do that. That way I can connect with her and maybe help out.

@JamesBugman You are incredibly thoughtful to do this.
Be careful though. the homeless women I've interacted with are very aggressively terrified. They always carry a weapon or 3, understandably. Be sure to tell her your intent. Maybe if there is somewhere "safe" nearby to leave it for her that might be better, like a church or if you have them in your area, call the local homeless shelters and see if anyone knows her.

If there is any indian contact or address, let me know on DM. I can try to help from here.
Might be stolen. Hope it isnt anything involving the wrong side of the law.

@WandererTony It seems to be a complete toss of all her stuff, there are dishes and kitchen things and even some kind of chair. I am guessing she couldn't pay the rent and the landlord chucked all her stuff.
I went back this morning and none of it has been touched, although that rain yesterday is going to ruin most of it, and dogs have been peeing on the bags.
Kind of feel like I should grab it all and wash/dry it and then put it back into clean bags, but then maybe she isnt around anymore.. really hard to guess.

That is nice of you. I think it is good idea to put note informing it is with you. Hope that person is still there and will appreciate your good deeds.

There could be a situation where the woman could have been abducted and thrown her belongings or anything that could identify her away.
Go to the police but I doubt they'd take the time to investigate.

May be a missing person case in the making. Or god forbid, she's a suicide victim and in that nearby pond.
Perhaps notifying the police end of day is wise.

@RedBaron Oops, right, fixed it. Thanks.

Turn the laptop on and see who it's registered to
@NinaTina Yea tried that. There is an old address listed, but somehow I doubt her stuff would end up here if she was still living there.
NinaTina · 26-30, F
@JamesBugman go to post office and see if her name brings up anything,or police
@NinaTina You think the post office tracks where mail goes? That is kinda spooky.
