How do you react to homeless people?
How does it differ if it might be someone you know/knew that you haven't talked to for awhile.

It makes me very sad. Whether it be due to their own bad decisions or something else, everybody deseves a safe place but where I live, we have people who seem to have turned being 'homeless' into a panhandling career and live better than I do so when I see them on every corner, I ignore them.
As for it being someone I know - I brought him into my home and went thru pure hell due to his drug abuse but I didn't turn my back on him. He is now clean, sober, working, paying rent in his own place and back together with his wife.
