My ideal home is
My dream home would be a cob or adobe house in the countryside or at least feels as private as the countryside. It would have three /four bedrooms and adjoining bathrooms.. it would have a spacious yet cozy kitchen, a living room with a fireplace, dining room, a solarium, a library and arts/crafts and writing/creative works studio room and a laundry room. It would sit on at least a few acres of private land at least 5 to 10 acres enough land so that I didn’t have any immediate neighbors and total privacy and freedom to do what I wanted including playing musical instruments and listening to loud classical or other kinds of music in the middle of the night. I would share this spacious house with my spouse and other family and friends who came to visit us for a while. That’s what the three to four bedrooms and bathrooms would be for. Otherwise I would be content with two bathrooms and bedrooms. It would be two stories or three stories high at like 2,000 to 3,000 square feet total.
I could also get by in a cottage that was around 800 square feet to 1000 square feet made of cob and adobe or straw bale. With one bedroom and bathroom, a creative studio room, a kitchen, a combined living room and dining room, and a library room. The living room and library would have a fireplace. Also would be on a few acres of land. There would also be a laundry room. This would be for me and just a spouse living alone.
I would live in the American southwest in the desert, forests or at the base of low mountains in the low desert. It’s a nice dream to have but I’ll never be able to afford a house like that. I would be surrounded by wildlife and preferably live close to an American Indian reservation. I would have an rv motorhome for travel and a car that I could take places when I wasn’t at home. I would be no more than 10-15 minutes from small towns and no more than an hour from major mid sized towns and cities. An hour to one hour and a half would put me in a mid sized to large city. Two hours would put me in a large city. I would get the best of both worlds.
