January Blues

It's the longest month of the year, psychologically speaking. Dark, damp, nothing to look forward to. Work seems mundane , nobody going out. But little things are keeping a glimmer of optimism alive - like the sunrise, like hyacinths coming into bloom in the kitchen, daffodils poking through the soil (and in January?)
But a visitor always cheers things up.

(Sorry, bit blurred)

Just been to get my hair cut and was saying the same, it seems like it's been January for 6 months but Christmas seems just a short time ago.
Every dull, grey, damp day is a day closer to spring 😊

That's so nice when the wild feels comfortable enough to enter your domain 🥰
