We are home at the farm, after a morning shopping 🛍
Montelepre is thirty kilometres, fifty minutes from Palermo so we have limited how many times we travel there, but the beach we most like is half that time away.
Fortunately, my grandparents and uncles have been developing the farm to accommodate the family for a holiday over the past twenty years or so and we have lots of facilities. The boys have a park area just a short walk away where they have football posts and nets for a good kick about if they want.
We have this beautiful pool that we all enjoy which we can swim in or exercise, play waterpolo and sit around with our tablets or laptops 👩💻 to our hearts content! There is a loggia under which you can escape the intensity of the sun ☀ if you want to. It is an idyllic family recreation place, not unique to our family since other families have a similar place on the island.
Now Chiara is sitting beside the pool, wearing knickers as she got her period this morning and she is content with her new purchases from our shopping trip. I’m hoping that my monthly visit from Mother Nature will not be delayed as I don’t want to miss a lovely holiday in Sardinia for the need to wear a tampon!
