Is it better to buy empty land than a property with a house?
Just so many realtors want to show me more expensive property instead of understanding I’m on a budget.

Realtors get paid on commission so of course they want you to buy something more expensive. Building a house can be less expensive if you have a good contractor but it could run over your budget. The best thing to do is, find a house you like on your own and contact the realtor who represents the house and deal with only 1 realtor so that commissions aren’t all split up and odds are they’ll be more willing to make a deal
