Nice neighborhoods usually have HOA.

@Menetics I'm not sure ab5 that, though that probably different from area to area.

But I avoid the HOAs as much as possible, then again, I've known of some over the top crazy people running the HOAs whom thought they were the President of the United States of HOAs. They went absolutely power crazy (or we're already before)

@Viper I agree! But I’m lucky that board members in my community aren't that crazy. The only thing I dislike about being in the HOA community is the crazy restrictions. They measure everything lol.

@Menetics I would also hate the HOA fees, some are crazy expensive, others not too bad. But you're basically renting while you own the house.

What are they measuring?

One I hated seeing in the news, some HOAs were demanding flags come down...

I say let them wave their flag! It lets me know about them, like if they're crazy and I should stay away, good warning label lol

Worst one was a HOA wasn't letting an OLD US veteran fly the American flag!

@Viper That’s true but I try to use the community amenities and we do have maintenance where I live so I think it’s worth it.

The fences, the height of the trees you have, and many more XD From what I remember, it was 30+ pages of restrictions lol. From renovations to little things.

This made me laugh 😂

It's very true. I don't want to get into the details publicly, but I realize some people are crazy just by the stupidity of the flags or usually more likely the signs they have put out in their front yard.

Oh there are community amenities? Like what?

Free maintenance? Or just a number for you to call and them to charge you?

The fences, the height of the trees you have, and many more XD

What happens if a fence or tree is too tall? Lol They offer to cut it? Lol

@Menetics With a certain person claiming a certain election was stolen... some people put up some extra stupid signs... even the general people that supported that someone thought the signs were over the top crazy.

A pool and guards are nice (if they actually work)

I feel like I couldn't control how tall a tree grows
