Do you know anybody who doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving?

I heard some random post online that a lot of Native Americans dont? But my fathers family has always celebrated.

@jadeddivinity: was listening to the radio today and various native Americans called in some happy some not. Seems all about perspective. I think the stand should be made about other holidays maybe like Columbus or independence day, but thanksgiving is (at least symbolically) about a nice thing the natives did for starving colonists. I guess they should have all slaughtered the colonists soon as the got off the boat, but they didn't. Often they traded with them and stuff. Sure the white man spread and killed them later, and that should never be minimized, but I don't see anything wrong with celebrating an act of kindness.
@coppercoil: Yeah, you're right. I guess it depends on how you view it.

@coppercoil: sometimes the dark side of a situation overshadows the light. Whites still think they are superior to everyone who is not white. That "kindness" was evil

@Fernie: *whites still think they are superior to everyone else who isn't white* what a thoughtful and intricately articulated blanket statement. Truly enlightening argument.

@coppercoil: My apologies...you're right...I should have said...and I am usually more aware of my words...that MANY MANY whites still think they are superior to anyone who is NOT white...you watch the news I presume?
