@Northwest the first poly relationship was I believe noted in numbers. Multiple wives were normal.

@Rosiechick13 Multiple wives is not "poly", it is not polyamory, it is polygamy, unless this is what you mean. In any case, these were not wives, they were more like concubines and slaves.

@Northwest many were willing wives. Who were happily in a relationship. Just something growing up and realizing A lot of Christians are completely hypocritical of their own teachings and don't dig enough. Same with same sex..... Man shall not lay with man is a new translation that actually was man shall not lay with child originally.

Not sure how you know that?

Yes, religion, not only Christianity, places a lot of artificial boundaries on relationships, but trying to interpret a series of tales, thousands of years old, without the proper historical context is not very useful.

If you want to be polygamous, of your own free will, then by all means. Just make sure you consider what you're getting into first.

@Northwest lol it's clear that the relationships outlined in many cases were happy

If it's clear, then you should be able to state how.

@Northwest look at most of the living relationships yes wives were below husbands in the bible that's a thing. But they were loved and cared for. Just like now there are bad guys but there are plenty of good ones

More like possessions.

You're describing possessions.

I'm sure there were, but none of these assumptions prove what you're saying, specifically that they were all one big happy family.

To each their own, and this includes those who engage in voluntary polygamy, but tying it to the Bible is not realistic. Not in the 21st century.

@Rosiechick13
but also saying cause the Bible says it's not cool isn't either
Yeah, but that's exactly what you're doing here, isn't it?
