So how the HELL can a sagging mattress be pumped up

on the cheap in a way that feels fixed and not LUMPY??????

CHEAP solutions only...

Best answer that actually works will get the owner a free place here. With a NEW mattress. I need a caretaker.

No kidding.

Piece of plywood put under it is all I know. Then it’s not gonna be like new.

@cherokeepatti I don't need to flatten it. I need to plump it up. Have no box springs just a platform and a cheapo rip off mattress, you can spend hundreds of dollars more and they will still only last 4 months, this one was a hundred and lasted about 3. The ones in the hotels cost at least 900.

@Platoscave How does a good mattress break down that quickly? I have a 24-year old mattress that is neither lumpy or sagging. I have kept it enclosed in a mattress cover since it was new so it’s not full of dust mites or whatever the mattress manufacturers say so people will buy new ones.

All I know is new stuff these days can't get junkier. People are way over the barrel with mattresses especially cause old ones mostly are too broken for use and new ones which work anymore are unaffordable. If I had never moved maybe there might be something in the house which is still working that way. But these days people move around. I had to for my own survival, and in moving you leave important stuff behind by necessity.

@Platoscave I don’t know how mine lasted 24 years. I was thinking 15 years but it’s way past that now. And it didn’t hurt my back to sleep on it, so it’s not saggy. And it wasn’t an expensive mattress, but it was made at a local mattress company.

@cherokeepatti All old products worked way better.
