I am reminded of the time when my best friend and I were in our 40s, waiting for BART and two handsome men approached us. We talked with them, excused ourselves, and my friend said to me sotto voce, “too young”.
“How do you know ?” I asked. She replied,
“Look how happy they are ! Life hasn’t kicked their butts yet !” 😉
