I think my refrigerator is failing. Should I just buy and new one and hope the landlord reimbursed me?

It’s been fixed several times already and today all of my food in the fridge was just cool.
My freezer food was still frozen but I don’t want it to thaw and refreeze if it should fail too.

(The fridge came with the apartment and is actually pretty old)

If you live in a temperate zone your back porch is probably cold enough to keep your food fresh until you get a new refrigerator. Stick it out until it dies and you can get the landlord to replace it - hopefully it fails before spring

@GoodoldBob just filled a cooler with what I could save and it it in the trunk of my car (because I don’t want vermin getting into the damn cooler lol) we have no yard lol 😆

@KaysHealingPath Good thought. I have a screened in back porch that would keep the raccoons away but not everyone has that luxury. Did you drop in all the ice cubes you had?

@GoodoldBob ice packs

@KaysHealingPath Good luck. It would stink to get stuck paying for it when it is really the landlord's responsibility

@GoodoldBob agreed. In all of my years renting this has been the only fridge to ever have problems but it’s really old.
But if he doesn’t want to replace it I’m going to tell him to come pick it up and put it in his garage as I will be buying my own and I WILL be taking it with me when I move.
And none of this nonsense of him wanting to put it in the garage here as I rent it and pay for the space for my cars and husbands tools.
