I think my refrigerator is failing. Should I just buy and new one and hope the landlord reimbursed me?

It’s been fixed several times already and today all of my food in the fridge was just cool.
My freezer food was still frozen but I don’t want it to thaw and refreeze if it should fail too.

(The fridge came with the apartment and is actually pretty old)

Complain to the landlord and pitch the idea if it doesn't get fixed correctly you'll replace it and withhold it from the rent. (If your state supports that as a remedy, some don't. Idk IL law)
