It's peaceful and quiet here. I can sit outside and watch small animals going about life undisturbed. Privacy, clean air and water. I free of the chaos of living in a town or city.. many more reasons to live here.
Cons: Traveling to cities for things, right now I have tons of dead leaves to remove, maintenance can become difficult, you might need a 4 wheel drive in winter, many more

We have a farm we go to a lot , and we’ve been snowed in there a few times . It’s quiet and pristine ... pros : it’s beautiful , quiet , I like the cold . Cons : well we were stuck for nearly a week once . But we had plenty of food and fire wood .. a generator so we had electricity .

@TexChik it sounds cozy honestly. But snowed in might be a little scary i dunno.

@Brookeeboop if you prepare ... (have food and water and shelter ) , it’s fun
I have. Electricity is an issue. Water is an issue. Kerosene is okay. The quality of your wood stove is key. It is pretty quiet which is nice. Always good to plan ahead as far as reading material is concerned because it can be difficult to get to town when the weather is bad.

For a cabin i would suggest R40 walls and triple roof insulation with security shades to protect the LePaz R12 windows and add an insulation buffer at the same time

@MikefromEP and a Heimlich gas space heater.

@RandomUniverse With my concept cabin a few solar panels would work nicely for heat and electricty

I live in the city and I don't know anyone living in a cabin.
