Thinking about my daughter and security

I guess the thing that concerns me most in life is my daughter’s safety, and secondly my own. She can’t carry a handgun as I can, so she is in a very vulnerable situation with all the migrants who are coming into Europe expressly to victimise our children and women of all situations.

Chiara is my everything and I am often thinking I am overprotective and I am cramping her personal development especially with her peers in our community. At home in Palermo there are countless Sicilians who are naturally protective of children but in the big city that situation is not as prevalent as people are too busy and we have too many foreigners in the city.

Living close to my parents means that we have an additional resource to provide us with some oversight and police presence, but things are changing and I think I am going to have to adapt things to make sure we are still safe.
