I bought a stool to keep by my door for putting on shoes, but it was too damn tall.

I went down to the communal workshop yesterday to cut the feet off the stool. A guy there helped me out with it, and now the stool is a nice, comfortable sitting height for putting on shoes. Can't even tell we cut it, either, because they let me use their spray paint. Having to make that alteration in the first place was a big chore, but I'm glad I did it.

I didn't want to throw it in the car while the paint was still wet, so I walked it home. Pretty long trip, but a little hiking never killed anyone.
