I rarely buy used fabric furniture I'm afraid of bedbugs. But I found a nice huge ottoman for my sectional. I took it outside sprayed it with flea killer, then sprayed it carpet cleaner scrubbed and let dry... Perfect for $30..instead of buying a new one for $200...@SW-User

Have it professionally steam cleaned.

Just think of it . Someone had sex on that couch you're going to buy

@midnightsun True, but you presumably aren't the only one who uses your couch, either, while you own it.
For example and not limitation, it used to be fairly common for teenage babysitters to invite their BFs over to the houses where they were sitting. The kids typically had a bedtime several hours before the parents would return, leaving plenty of time for any couches or beds to be used by them. With nanny cams, that may not be as common now.

I think the same thing in hotels and cover chairs with cushion covers, I have sprayed everything with alcohol, etc.
Can’t get past thinking about pet urine either.@EnigmaticGeek
