I do more incense. Candles I have a purpose for them.

Never blow a candle out either.

It all has to do with symbology.
@DeWayfarer I like burning incense too but it's not good for the cats so I use it when the windows are open and they're not in the room.

I checked into these candles carefully and they're ok for the cats

@robingoodfellow Never had a problem with my cats and incense. And I had two of them.

BTW my last cat even like to smell flowers. Bougainvillea flowers specifically.

This whole smoke thing is only to supposedly stop fires in the home.

If incense is a problem then every type candle is a problem. There is no candle that doesn't put out carcinogens. Both wax and wick have carbon in them. Just far less in the wax, which shows down the fire.

It's the fire that caused it. Nothing else. The "car" in carcinogens stands for "Car"bon. Specifically carbon gasses. Which is in most things that burn.

There's certainly not any phosphorus based candles. That would burn your house down in an instant.

Yet Native Indians had smoke tents.
