I wanted to create a unique and cozy home

When we moved to Jacksonville, we faced the challenge of making our house feel like home. I started looking for ready-made design solutions, furniture, and textiles, but it was all so expensive! I discovered that I could create a much more personalized and affordable space by buying secondhand furniture and refurbishing it myself.❤ Do you think this approach of upcycling furniture can be a good way to decorate a home, or is it better to invest in new pieces from a store?

Let's see:

1. Do your part in saving the planet and save another piece of furniture from the dumpster, not to mention that another forest does not need to be cut down to produce it (or a whole bunch of plastics, metals, etc).

2. Save $s. You can get these for a fraction of the cost of a new piece of furniture.

3. You're supporting local charities and local employment, because the stores that sell donated used furniture funnels the profits to local employment programs.

4. You get to put your education to use, personalize it and show it off at your next barbecue.
