A question about bedroom design…

When I used to visit family members in the southern U.S. whether it was my grandparents and relatives in Louisiana or aunts and uncles in Atlanta, GA, they all had really high beds, that seemed three mattresses high (see pic).

Was that just [b]my[/b] family, or was it a feature of southern homes ?

I think it's not just an 'era' thing, but also an age thing : high beds are easier to get out of ...you just need to kinda roll out 😄

@Ontheroad I've always loved high beds for some reason .
I remember sleeping in one at a friend's place when I was little, in a cute cottage in the country, sometime before the age of five .

I don't know why it left such an impression on me ...thru just seem fancy and distinguished 😂
