Debating how to hold up my tablecloths

I have a kitchen table & two end tables, each with purple tablecloths that hang off the edges. I want to fasten the tablecloths down because they have a tendency to slip and I want to use a clip to do that in some form another, but I'm definitely not going to use a non-slip pad bc that would feel annoying.

I'm gonna do one of two things, probably -- either I'll go under the table and use binder clips to fasten the tablecloth around the legs at the top or I'll use those little table cloth clips on the corners. Either option will screw up the aesthetic a little bit, but I'm tired of adjusting the tablecloth.

I could just cut little holes in the tablecloth on all four corners and tie it to leg with some shoelaces. Hmm... now that I think about it, that actually seems like a pretty good idea.

i have an idea, maybe, expounding on your last idea; non-slip cord, cut into lengths long enough to tie each corner down around the top of each leg. tie in simple outward-facing loop knot so it will lay flat against the length of the table leg... maybe even bead the ends of the cord with something to accent the decor. no cutting tablecloths that way and no protruding clips

my other idea was double-sided tape... but that could make a mess in the long-term, depending on fabric and textile

@SW-User I did think about the idea of tying it to the end of the table, and it's certainly not a bad idea. IDK what non-slip cord is, but the only reason I'm not going with that rn is because I feel like getting the right length with the knot would be kind of annoying. Double-sided tape is a good and simple solution (it's some polyester piece of shit tablecloth), but I want to be able to wash it very frequently in the washing machine, and removing it frequently would screw up the tape.

@BlueVeins no slip cord is anything non-silky. you can make a loop before cutting for the first one, then measure others. it doesn't have to be perfect; the beads/baubles will make any asymmetry playful. the double tape could get messy, i agree... stuff is ridiculously effective

@SW-User And another big advantage is that you could just clip it on, right? Like with something like this

except maybe a little less ugly.

I'm still probably gonna just tie it around the table leg just bc I think it would look a little better all things consider, but that's a really good plan B.

@BlueVeins omgosh... looks like there's a market for cute tablecloth clips. who knew?
there are also table cloth weights, some cute, some hidden

this would be so much easier 😌

@SW-User It would be easy, but I want the tablecloth to hang down from the edge freely and if possible, I'd prefer to keep the tabletop free of obstruction to the greatest extent I can. I'm unsure of the efficacy of a tablecloth weight, I feel like it would just slide off the moment it got even a little off balance. Not saying it doesn't work, I just... feel like a rope would be better.
