We hunted for eggs, that was it
It was my first holiday alone with my daughter. I didn't care much for holidays honestly until I had her so I still feel pretty new to this holiday stuff. Birthday's too I guess. It was nice having her mom around to help even though she wasn't much of a holiday person either. It often seemed like I was always the main one who tried to put effort into holidays. But having another person included made it feel easier especially since her mom has done it all before with her first daughter & I didn't have any experience at all.
I haven't had much time to prepare for anything. I wish I got to do more. But after helping her mom move, I moved next. I went straight to work after dropping my daughter off with her mom then unloading the last load & I hardly had any time at home before getting my daughter again. My new schedule is I work 4 nights then have my daughter for 4 days. That way I get to split my week in half between working, & being with my daughter. I've been ordering groceries, diapers, wipes, a new car seat, a bunch of baby books & toys, just a lot of things that have been showing up every day. Still feels like I'm not settled in & I haven't got a chance to be comfortable yet. I got her these pre-filled eggs with little teddy bears inside & I hid them around in the house & out in the yard. So she started her hunt inside then it led outside.
She was so excited to see the eggs but she was even more excited to discover they had little teddy bears inside 😅 so she kept opening them, leaving the egg shells on the floor then walking away with an armful of mini teddy bears 🤣 at first I felt a little disappointed that it was only me & her & I felt like I didn't have enough preparation to give her a good Easter experience. But then I reminded myself that all that matters is she's happy. She was so happy & excited it made me feel like I did something good enough 🥲 next time will be better for sure. But I'm happy Naya was excited. She carried around her eggs & bears for the rest of the night & I even repackaged half of them to give to her mom. That way she could do a late mini hunt for her too if she wants
