well the bunny is suppose to represent God, and the egg is meant to represent a new start as in a chic from the egg. God sent Jesus. Jesus did die (Friday) for those who sinned, and rose again(Sunday, the day the egg is delivered).
So even if there is no bunny or egg in the bible, there is meaning in the rabbit and egg. Everyone has a different way of expressing the events that happened.
@happynudist I appreciate your comments. God gave us the gift of His Son Jesus who died on the cross and rose again on the third day...victorious over sin and death!!! The giving of gifts on Easter Sunday is a refection of God's gift of salvation for us...
