Another Big Christmas
I always find that Christmas time is very tiring. Exhausting even. But great to spend time with loved ones, family, right?
Ours began - myself, Kaz, Hope & Mulder - with my granddaughter, Jasmin and her partner, Candy - driving down on Christmas Eve.
Arriving around 8pm, so got them a bite to eat and played the hosts. Was lovely to see them both. Glasses of wine and soft drinks consumed and a good old chin wag.
Bed around 11pm, woke at around 6:30am by Hope...we're all stumbling down in various states of dress and sobriety...
Got told off big style by Hope, all of us, "I couldn't sleep 'cos all I could hear was everyone having sex..."
Ok. What can you say to your 12 year old when they say that? Jas just laughed and said "Busted!"
Always important to have a big breakfast before anything so croissants, baked beans, veggie sausage and bacon, mushrooms and scrambled eggs is always the order of the day.
Some video calls to my eldest daughter, my sister and Kaz's family and then it's open presents time!

Hope got, naturally, some guitar stuff, and I got some lovely clothes - dresses, make-up and perfume. Jas and Candy we got some lovely jewellery for them.
I was doing the cooking whilst Kaz was keeping the girls entertained. Actually, Hope was playing some guitar things, trying out her new pedals and such, so that kept everyone entertained. Although we do have music on too.
The Christmas albums by T.S.O are our favs, breaks up over the regular stuff that everyone seems to play.
Dinner out. The king's Speech - a tradition - then some games! Boggle and Cluedo for starters. Then Xmas pudding.
Then more games, more food, more drink. TV - the Christmas 'Strictly..' and 'East Enders' are a must, sorry.
Then bed....being quiet this time!

Then, up early. Shower, feeding the gang and head up to Derby, this 2 car procession.
Arrive at my eldest's, all of us, and fed and watered and lovely catch up. Bit of a rest at our old house, which Jas and Candy rent from us, then over to see my sister and her family.
Lovely time. More food, more drink, more games and catch-up.
Bed, feeling completely dead to the world from all the drink and food. I feel like a whale getting into bed.
Up, breakfast and shower.
We'll be going up to see Kaz's family in N'Castle shortly, for a few days.
Hope's enjoyed it all, so far, but is very tired.
