Last place I worked for, we got a cheezy christmas party that catered in horrible food AND typically a shirt and a cup with the company logo plastered on it.
I generously donated those things to Goodwill or a fellow worker.
@HoeBag in the 80s, my parents were union workers. I remember Christmas parties where Santa would come, and give each kid a gift. They would have a big buffet spread for everyone. And they all got Christmas bonuses!
@Notmesam Company I worked for was NOT broke by any stretch, even though they ACT like they don't have two nickels to rub together. The christmas parties and gifts were an embarrassment.
The "buffet" looked like buckets of b4rf, stuff that we would feel bad for feeding our pets.
