What to get for kids that don't want anything?

My kids are not human, I swear. They never ask for anything, they have no hobbies, no desires, no ambition. They hide in their rooms all day long and play computer games, watch youtube videos or just sleep.
I have bought them expensive gifts trying to coax them out of their rooms. A scooter, a drone, an underwater camera. They are all still sitting on shelves in their rooms, unopened.
I don't get it.
Should I just buy them a box of cookies and tell them to let me know if one day they want something? maybe if I give them cash they will be forced out? no that won't work because they can just ask mom to buy them something and she will do it.

You can take them some glass to protect the eyes, being all day at computer or phone can damage them.
This way you can give them a good present the enjoy on daily activities and you follow what they want.
Unfortunately it's hard to get people to get out of their rooms this days.

Btw, i'm more like to be that type of person, for this i recommend that.

If you're creative, create and print some coupons for them that they can redeem with you anytime in the new year.

For example, you could make a coupon that's good for a movie, a sporting event, a meal at an eatery of their choice, a new video game, etc etc.

If it was me in your place, I'd get them a few relatively inexpensive things. If they want them, great; if they don't want them, it doesn't matter because if didn't cost much

MONEY!!! Its not rocket science. Once they hit the teenage years they want the freedom to choose for themselves that money brings. Of course, a responsible parent wants to guide, steer and oversee some of their choices. This is where uncles aunts and granparents come into their own and make a parents life hell..😷

how about disconnecting the internet and say it might not be back up for a few days....they just might open up that scooter, drone and underwater camera
