Christmas dinner
So a few weeks back I mentioned sending a hearty message about my friend and her behaviour. It was overwhelming and I'd been feeling like she was expecting too much of me. I thought I'd give it some time and reach out again.
We exchanged a few pleasantries but she's being very cagey which is understandable.
My mum and I had a discussion and I mentioned one thing she was upset about was not being invited to share Xmas with anyone, her family are in Canada and she's here alone.
Anyways I offered the olive branch, she says she has other plans. Asked me about my plans and about my current situation with my son.
I then wrapped up the conversation wishing her a lovely Xmas.
2026 I'll probably not have her as a friend but I think it's probably for the best. Me finally asserting myself and implementing a much needed boundary has proven we weren't really friends
