How much would you say is an appropriate amount to spend on Christmas

Please don't answer for anyone else than the honest truth.

I feel like every year I go completely broke buying my kids Christmas and then my parents act like I don't do enough and then my son's family is telling me I over did it and they never got that many gifts on Christmas

Hard to say, think it is different for each person and each family. You have to be happy with what you get your kids and really no one else’s place to say if it was enough or to much.

I feel like my parents say that because they can afford to. I can't afford to buy the same amount of stuff that they are. We are not in the same budget

@Sojournersoul I have a wicked step mom who jumps at any opportunity to trash me. One Christmas I went completely broke again buying Christmas (this has only happened twice) and my mom told my sister and her half brother and their entire extended family that "she didn't buy them anything"

It gets exhausting. She's a gas lighter. If I confront her I'm crazy and she never said that
