The Spirit of Christmas – Who Will Save the World?
The Spirit of Christmas is contained in Luke 2:7:
"And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn."
That's the answer to the question: who will save the world, and who will save our souls. That's the answer. Only this, only that one sentence.
The savior of us all will not be a warlord, nor a millionaire or billionaire, nor the son of some Earthly king. The savior of us all is born in a manger, and the warlords and kings and billionares had no room for his family.
Those warlords, kings and millionaires cannot save the world, cannot save our souls, but an innocent helpless child can (and will, if we want it).
"Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven."
Let there be peace on Earth, and Merry Christmas to all you Christians, and all you infidels! May the spirit of this holy day shine into your hearts and enlighten your souls.
