Is this bragging about Christmas?

I saw this post scrolling through my Facebook feed. Basically it says you should think before posting pictures of your full Christmas tree.

You should take into consideration the people who aren’t as lucky.

How do you feel about this message? Do you think people should stay humble and not share their joy or is this in the spirit of jealousy and we are just coddling people by not posting?

Tell me your thoughts.

Take into consideration the truly poor people in this world who don't have food, clothing, and shelter. Then think about how the birth of Christ was in a manger and was without decoration. This commercial exploitation of a religious holiday in the name of profit is shameful. Then stop and think how this ridiculous holiday season puts people without families into a depression every year. I am more than tired of hearing about it every year and feel like Christmas will never end.

@Wales The commercialization of Christmas is another topic.

Do we need to think of how everyone is going to feel when we share things?

This could be applied to any situation. If you were going on a big trip and posted pictures, should you refrain because it might make people jealous and feel badly they don’t have the same opportunities?

Do people need to edit their joy so others don’t get jealous?

@iamonfire696 There is no need to edit your joy. You seem to have missed the point of my post. The reason I hate Christmas is that I am sick of what other people make out of it. Anything you post on social media which can be viewed by anyone except members of your own friends space is there for random strangers to view.
