Is this bragging about Christmas?

I saw this post scrolling through my Facebook feed. Basically it says you should think before posting pictures of your full Christmas tree.

You should take into consideration the people who aren’t as lucky.

How do you feel about this message? Do you think people should stay humble and not share their joy or is this in the spirit of jealousy and we are just coddling people by not posting?

Tell me your thoughts.

I understand the deeper message here... many are for one reason or another, struggling and this person is touched by their struggles.

I do think the message is a little over the top... sort of a downer instead of an uplifting message.

I address the person's intent by using local social media to find a neighborhood family (usually a single-parent family), that is struggling with Christmas and offer to buy presents for their children.

I like the idea of an uplifting message/act, but I do get what the person is trying to say.

@Ontheroad I understand but if you don’t want to see Christmas trees full of presents then don’t look.

We donated to the Christmas Cheer Board here and we donated to the food bank. We donate to the food bank throughout the year too.
