Is this bragging about Christmas?

I saw this post scrolling through my Facebook feed. Basically it says you should think before posting pictures of your full Christmas tree.

You should take into consideration the people who aren’t as lucky.

How do you feel about this message? Do you think people should stay humble and not share their joy or is this in the spirit of jealousy and we are just coddling people by not posting?

Tell me your thoughts.

The problem with that logic is, where does it end? Should you not post photos of you and your partner because some people are single or have lost their partners to tragedy? Should you not drive your nice car down the road because some people can't afford cars? I think it's more than fine to show your happiness at what you have. Even if you want to brag, go nuts. We all have the freedom to make judgements about that but we have no right to restrict it. You don't get to bring down someone else's life because yours isn't ideal.

That's my opinion anyway.

@SW-User I agree with you about this. Where does it end. I don’t post much of that stuff on social media but I don’t worry about that stuff.

I grew up so poor, it’s nice to be able to give my kids gifts at Christmas.

For Santa gifts, it’s always been small stocking gifts that “Santa” brought and the big gifts come from us. Just because kids don’t understand why Santa would bring a big gift to one child and not the other.
