Mine was quiet, and nice with some family members.
I had a beautiful Christmas tree that I cut fresh, lot's of decorations, which were nicely themed so yes, it was gratifying.
My one regret was the logistics of the traditional Christmas pudding, which I made last year and stored for this Christmas. I didn't plan very well....HOWEVER, I will be re-steaming it for this Thursday and presenting it aflame for friends who are coming over for a small party. I must work on my organizational skills it appears before next year.
