Christmas is over for another year

I confess we are going through the motions for the sake of the Grandkids. All vaxxed up and safe enough. But expecting another year with its own set of problems. And comparatively we regard ourselves as lucky.😷

Perhaps it's not all being cannot be bothered. That may be true of some but others might be stopping to think,

"No, Christmas is not over.
Christmas Day is 3 days away from today (22nd), Twelfth Night, when traditionally you take the decorations down, is 15 days away.
So let's think about what really matters even if you are not religious - family and friends.
Not work-place p***-ups.
Not meretricious TV ads. Not supermarkets over-loaded with flashy toys and pseudo-sentimental pop-music.
Not big credit-card debts and tons of wasted food!"

Yeah. You know. I don't remember seeing the candy canes hanging on every other lamp post this year.
Also we don't have snow yet, so there is that.
Yeah you are right. Doesn't feel very Christmasy outside of my own living room.

Not here. All the shops are decorated and the streets too. 🎄
