A year ago, on Thanksgiving night I went to our local Walmart, stood in a long line and waited to get inside out of the cold. We have just a regular Walmart and not a Super Walmart. Once a certain number of people had entered the store, they closed the doors for a while until a number of customers left the store, according to fire regulations. There was a map of where sale items were located that night, these were gone by the time that I entered the store. So I wandered around the masses in search of a 60 inch television for $688. I finally learned that my item was located in the garden section. I got in line, stood for quite a while, as the line moved slowly forward. Somebody started to talk about a ticket that you needed to buy the television. The way it worked was that earlier in the day, you needed to go to the store and get a ticket to buy the television that was the special sale item. This was never mentioned in store newspaper ads or on the radio. May have been mentioned on line, "who knows for sure." So there I stood without the magic ticket which I needed. I said something to the effect that I did not have a ticket. A person about 15 people up must have heard my conversation as they had an extra ticket and handed it back through the line to me. Consequently I bought the television that night. 😊
