I Love Christmas

I love it as much as the next guy but hold the phone, bring the mic down, why we gotta ruin Christmas by being negative. My buddies father wanted to chew his ass out because he made a post on Facebook saying something and they used the term X-mas. In fact it was about safety for your pets.

First of all...Xmas was first founded a long time by the muh-fudging Greeks who had a word for Christ which was Chi and Chi was abbreviated to X. Creating Xmas.

Then, boom in comes the modern world and someone says "ah we gotta save on Ink dood" and his buddy Paulie I'd like "At Frankie, what if we shorten some words. I heard you could make Christmas Xmas and it means the same thing." And then Paulie Got a raise.

Then, boom round the riots of pissed off Christians mad about the change. Christmas, the way we celebrate it, isn't even Christmas. It's Yule my dude. For a Christmas Christmas you're supposed to go to Church like...A BUNCH. But ain't no body got Gas for that.

But even further down, why are we ever upset? Christmas isn't about defending something that doesn't need to be defending. There's 1000s of holidays celebrated in December and the term "Happy Holidays" basically says "No matter what you are celebrating, enjoy it."

No need to be upset about cups, phrasing, or who does what as long as it's in the magical spirit of the season. Christmas is about a time of giving, togetherness, loving, and food comas. Enjoy it.

Happy Holidays~

People who complain about the changes - especially when it comes to holidays - just don't have the spirit of the season.

Take my sister-in-law. She doesn't like shopping unless it's for herself, but for the last three years (I just found out last year) She hasn't bought her husband (my brother) or her son anything for Christmas or their birthdays (both are in December). He told me if I didn't gift him and his son, they'd get nothing at all.

My mother taught me to be generous and give presents when presents are due. I have always gifted my nephew (21st birthday just yesterday) and my brother for Christmas and his birthday (2 days afterward - he holds his birthday present for the actual date). I think I'll give them both an extra-nice gift so they know they were thought of and remembered. Happy Holidays to all!

They just can't sleep well at night unless they feel oppressed.

@daisymay seems that way doesn't it?
