I am really saddened by all the posts I am seeing of people saying they aren't handing out candy this year because it's too expensive.

I understand money is tight for a lot of people, but I just think of all the kids who are going to really have a tough next couple of months going into the Holidays and I don't want them to miss out on the joys of Halloween. I was pretty poor growing up, didn't ever buy halloween outfits my Mom would just put her makeup on us to try to dress us up, but I remember how fun Halloween was for us and the neighborhood kids. Especially with the Snap benefits being cut next month I really hope those who can afford to buy candies do. I bought candy on sale and even though I really didn't have extra money to spend to me it's worth for these kids. I don't know this has been weighing on my heart heavily and I know it's not a big deal but we have to provide for these kids and our elderly and disabled who are going to suffer. I just wish I could do more.

Christmas celebration cancelled
@JimboSaturn
The christian nationalists ruined christmas? Thats SO surprising

@TryingtoLava It appears they did inadvertently in this town. Or a least this celebration, I'm sure they would argue that you can't cancel Christ's B-day. Watch no celebration so they will blame secular soceity, wokism, and non-Christians as the reason.
