It could be as cold as eleven degrees Celsius here tomorrow morning!

They aren’t expecting it to rise above twenty and it could be as cloudy as it has been today.

We went to Church this morning and then we took my parents out for lunch as they had to defrost food for their evening meal. 🥘

With Chiara with us my parents were worried about telling us what is wrong with my Nonno, suffice to say that I am pretty adept at reading my mother’s body language. I simply asked, will we be having Christmas in Palermo?

My Papa looked physically injured when he looked at me and said, yes to Christmas (hopefully) but maybe not Easter! 🐣 That could mean that my Nonno might not see me given away as a bride!

I couldn’t help but burst into tears! 😭

Chiara rushed over to stand at my side in a child’s affirmation of defence of her parent, and my Papa told her it was ok, but that her great grandfather was ill. She began crying 😭 too!

Chiara is very close to both her grandfather and her great grandfather. My Nonno loves her sitting on his lap when we are holidaying in Sicily. He loves to pat her bare rump playfully, like he has all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He has taught her many things, just as my father does now with his quizzes he gives her to do.

She asked if he will be at my wedding. Even my Papa was crying!😭
