Holidays in Cornwall in my youth

In my twenties I enjoyed many holidays in Cornwall and enjoyed staying in static caravans and cottages and loved the old Perranporth Inn at night time with Bernie playing the drums , one night I got to play the drums and it was great fun

It a beautiful county!

I took up the drums. Didn't get anywhere particularly but it was fun trying! I sold my kit decades ago and I'd need practice to try again but I still know the "rudiments". That were when pop and rock music had proper and sometimes quite complicated rhythms, long before first the Disco then Drum-&-Bass stuff took any complexity out.

@ArishMell I learned to read and play rudiments as a child , Played in semi pro in bands from 16 , for 10 years or so .
Still have a couple of kids , but just play for the pure joy it . I bought a caravan to house one , on a mates farm .

@devonman Unfortunately my house would not suit a drum-kit - an Edwardian end of terrace whose party wall is thin enough for me to hear my neighbour practicing her ukulele!
