Also, happy to hear what you get up to as I'm a nosey bugger!

Me and my wife do a late dinner 8-9 pm, pre-drinks an hour before.

During the day she'll go to the spa and I'll read and watch the TV, if it's a nice day will go for a walk!

My wife and I usually take the RV out for weekends away. We explore wherever we are. See the sights and try the restaurants. Then at night we usually watch a movie in the RV. 🙂
@Musicman That actually sounds awesome, dinner, glass of wine and back to a movie! Peak glamping!
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Musicman I used to have an RV. We would flat tow our jeep around the Southwest U.S.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@DogMan That is so awesome! We haven't been west yet. Where do you recommend going? What kind of motorhome did you have?
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Musicman I had a 30ft FR3 class A. It was perfect for short trips around the southwest.

I live in Las Vegas NV. and have a home in southern Utah. Southern Utah has everything.
5 national parks. I'm still exploring it. Moab Utah is incredible, but hot in the summer.
We went 4 wheeling in SW Colorado last summer. One trail we did was Black Bear Pass
it was amazing, and scary.

@DogMan Those are beautiful pictures. I am sorry you had to sell the RV. Everyone tells us we need to see Sedona Arizona. I also want to see the Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Festival.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Musicman Sedona is pretty cool. We were involved in the building of the Hyatt hotel
down there. That was over 20 years ago, and it was started to get over crowded back then.
You have to get parking permits just to hike the trails. I was able to hit the back roads, and
forest service roads no problem. Not sure how it is now. I flew out of the Albuquerque
Airport years ago while the balloon festival was going on, They were everywhere. It
would be fun to be there on the ground, it's a huge event.

@DogMan It is in my bucket list. We were going to do it all for my 60th birthday, but my wife hurt herself and that ended that. Have you ever seen a YouTube channel called TexasXlander?
@Musicman Hope she is ok, if not prayers for her swift recovery 🙏
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Musicman Here is a beautiful place to go once your wife recovers. Navajo Lake in Southern Utah. Near Cedar City
I will check out TexasXlander. Is it you?
Musicman · 61-69, M
@DogMan Was this your coach?
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Musicman Yes, It was perfect for what I used it for. Nice layout inside.
It had a full slideout on the drivers side. The little slideout in back, is the
head of the bed. It was nice for a cross breeze, and being able to look
out the front and back.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@DogMan I am sorry you had to let it go. They are a lot of fun.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Musicman Yeah, we were using it less and less, so I sold it and bought a new 4 runner.
I installed suspension and 33's It is a little stiff on the road, but does just as well as my
jeep offroad. I was going to sell the jeep, but decided to keep in just in case. It only has 30k on it.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@DogMan I don't blame you. Having a spare 4x4 never hurts. How often do you go four wheeling?
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Musicman We used to do a couple trips a year, plus day trips when we go up
to Cedar City. Haven't done anything in a few months now,
Musicman · 61-69, M
@DogMan We have been out twice this year between doctors appointments and physical therapy appointments.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Musicman We have a couple nice places here outside of Las Vegas. But it's too hot this time
of year. Although it has been cooler than normal in Las Vegas the last two years. Hasn't even
broke 100 degrees yet this year.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@DogMan Wow! We went to Key West a few years ago. The temperature averaged 96 daily. The motorhome has three rooftop air conditioners. They kept us comfortable. 🙂
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Musicman My rig only had one A/C. It barely kept us cool when it was in the 80's, unless we
were in the shade.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@DogMan Oh my gosh! That's terrible! 😳
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Musicman The heater worked great. We did a lot of winter trips. And trips to high elevations
in the summer time

Navajo Lake near Cedar City, is 9,000ft above sea level. Not accessible during the winter.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Musicman What happened that you need PT? Did you get injured?
Musicman · 61-69, M
@DogMan Oh cool! We have hydronic heating. We have Aqua Hot for endless hot water showers. The Aqua Hot also runs out heat for the coach. My wife is handicapped. When Covid came around she stayed home and didn't do anything, but sit on the couch and watch TV for a few years. She lost all of her strength. Now she needs to rebuild her muscles back up. Right now she has a hard time climbing the five steps up into the coach. Four weeks ago I had outpatient surgery to repair a deviated septum. I am pretty much all healed from it. 🙂
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Musicman Oh, man, I had that surgery years ago. Did they put those stint things up your nose?

My wife was diagnosed with severe osteoporosis, which shocked us both because she is so
active. Turns out that it is because she has always been thin, and never did resistance
exercises. She has been using Wii Fit, to do exercises, she loves it, it has a huge amount
of things you can do. From balance type stuff, to yoga, stretching, and a ton of different things
that keep a person engaged. Your wife might enjoy something like that. You have to enjoy
exercise, in order to keep doing it. I am a gym rat, been going for over 40 years. Treadmill,
elliptical, and I do resistance exercises. Although I am seeing a surgeon next week about
my shoulder, I broke it two different times, and now I have bone on bone arthritis in the
socket, they told me last year it would take a total replacement. if It keeps getting worse.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@DogMan Yes they did! I was a mouth breather for a while. After the surgery they told me I couldn't sleep in a bed for a week. So I slept in my recliner. I was terrified that I would close my mouth while I slept and pass away of sleep apnea. I barely slept the first couple of days then my body said enough! Fortunately everything worked out fine. 🙂

My wife has two steel rods and six hooks holding her spine together so she has never been super active. She has a specialty exercise bike called a NuStep. She rides that and she does water aerobics in the pool. Our pool is open all year long so it is just up to her to do them.

I have been having trouble with my left shoulder for a few years. I went to see the doctor and he said the cartilage is gone between my arm and shoulder. He said I need a total shoulder replacement, but he wants me to be 70 before he does it. He said they only last about 15 years and he doesn't want to do it twice. I am 61. He said that we could do cortisone shots if I want. But, when I start grinding nerve on nerve that it doesn't matter how old I am he will do it regardless.
